Very cool original gold piece with golden-orange toning enhancing flashy Gem surfaces. Considerably scarcer than the most common date with about 1/4 the population at a type price.

*NEW* Wow!! This coin is a among the very few perfectly fresh and original GEM gold coins available. Untouched, uncleaned, undipped and unimproveable. Among the absolute top of the grade, easily in the top 5%. Full strike, superb, mark free surfaces and full shimmering luster on light golden-rose patina. A GREAT coin.

*NEW* I purchased this coin raw from a local couple who said it had been in their family since the 1940's. Graded MS64 at PCGS and very high end for the that grade. Fully struck and lustrous example of this better date. Compare a pop of 83 in MS64 with only five coins graded higher, to the most common date $10 Lib, a 1901-S, which shows a MS64 pop of 3142.

*NEW* Very high end coin for this grade and a much better date. I estimate that this coin is superior to at least 40% of the MS64 population. Well struck and lustrous with an absolute minimum amount of contact marks for the grade.

Ultra-scarce in full GEM condition, this date will only cost you around $60,000 in a MS65 case. This MS64 is soooo close. Minimum marks, full strike and strong original luster make this MS64.8 real value.
